MOST CLIENTS SPEND AROUND $3,600 BOOKING ME.
That number can seem jarring initially. Here are some of the behind-the-scenes expenses that lead to that price point in my packages:
Gear: I bring roughly $12,500 worth of equipment to your wedding. I also routinely pay for cleaning and calibrations of all of my lenses and camera bodies.
Taxes: Tax is bundled and included into your price, so don’t worry about any suprise fees on your invoice. 30% of your payment never see my wallet and is instead automatically placed into my tax account for quarterly payments.
Editing time: Each wedding takes roughly 12-20 hours to edit depending on the number of total files from the day, weather, and lighting situations. In addition to the time spent actually editing the gallery itself, there is also additional time for culling (sorting) files, importing, exporting, uploading to file management platforms, and archiving after delivery.
Backup systems: File archiving is a huge part of the job of a photographer. I believe all irreplaceable files should be stored in 3 places to prevent loss or corruption. For me, those 3 places are the external hard drive I work off of, a private server, and a cloud backup program.
Photography programs: In order to run my company effectively and efficiently, I pay for subscriptions to the Adobe creative suite, Honeybook, Photomechanic, Pic-Time, etc.
Other business expenses: In addition to everything listed above, there are also the normal expenses associated with running a business - Quickbooks, website hosting and upkeep, marketing budget, business license yearly renewals, my assistant and second shooters’ salaries, and much more.

The included engagement session can be swapped for a second shooter or taken off the package for a $300 discount.
ELOPMENT PHOTOGRAPHY
My elopement photography can still cover getting ready, ceremony, group photos, and a bride and groom portrait session but is structured around hourly coverage rather than a package. Like full-day coverage, a print and sharing release and digital gallery are included.
Weekdays and Sundays are preferred for elopements. Saturdays are often reserved for full-day weddings in peak wedding season (April-June and September-November).
$450/hour.
